So its been awhile, but I am still here. The P90X is going well, I feel the good effects already. I am down about 5-7 lbs, and definitely can feel the clothes getting a little looser. This week is recovery week, so I have been going to the gym instead, since I started a week later than my workout partner. But I definitely feel much better than I have.
This last week of January I want to keep pushing and see if I cant get to the 10lbs lost or more for the month. As far as my nutrition, I've been dong much better but honestly can do better. There are a few of those "breakdowns" that I can definitely do without, and I am going to do better.
So I am always on the lookout for more music to listen to while working out. At work or in leisure I have been listening to more jazz/r7b than anything -- but working out I need some rap... Not the 1/2 r&b, 1/2 rap variety --- but some ignorant, bass-thumping - adrenaline infused music. Below is the stuff I have been listening to in rotation :
Jeezy - TM 103
Ace Hood - The Statement 2
Red Cafe - Hell's Kitchen
T.I. - F Da City Up
Jae Millz - Category 5
Meek Mill - Dreamchaser
And today I'm going to give Rich Forever another go -- but Just wasn't feeling it as much as other people ...
I welcome all suggestions ...
I'm out ------------

The Tipping Point ...
So it's Friday , finally Friday..... Well, my week has been pretty good working out so far, I'm definitely back in the groove of things. I am already feeling better, and can feel the clothes feeling slightly (and i stress "slightly") looser, and overall feel much better. The past few P90X workouts have been good, never thought I would ever do Yoga for 90 minutes , but it was good. I wasn't able to do all of the moves, but just tried everything- and pushed myself to do the ones I could do as well as I could . This morning was the back and legs workout, and it was great also - probably 8 different variations of squats and lunges, and I did more pull-ups (assisted, but pull-ups, dammit!) than I have ever done .. So looking forward to the Karate session tomorrow morning.
Hope your workouts are going as well as mine, I have been eating fairly well, I must admit I did have a few donuts earlier in the week (have to entertain your friends right? Can't have them eat all the Krispy-Kremes, right?)
But aside from that , been pretty good. If I have something sweet, its in moderation - and definitely no fried foods. If you are serious about losing weight you have to understand that "dieting" usually doesn't work -- it has to be a lifestyle change. You don't have to cut out the terrible stuff completely, but you have to seriously moderate .... cutting out just coca-Cola, but still drinking Sprite ain't gon' cut it!! maybe reduce your intake from 12 cans a week to 6, then 4, then ... you get the point. I also try to think that if its fried, stay away from it --- this includes -- fried chicken (duh) , french fires, donuts, bagels (can have in moderation), potato chips
(Lay's makes fairly good Baked alternatives)
etc... One thing I have tried is making Stir-Fry -- pan-searing is way better than deep frying , and it's a great way to mix your veggies and protein
Well hope this was helpful, enjoy the clip and have a great weekend...
